This feature allows real-time logging of data, coming from any equipment having TCP/IP address (Cisco routers, etc.), into any type of database (MS Access, MS SQL Server, etc.).
Step by step setup (7 steps)
- Start ByteWedge and choose File->New from the menu.
- On the "Import Source" tab in the Wizard choose "TCP/IP".

- On the "Export Method" tab select ODBC (any database)".

- On the "Parser" tab set filters and parser options.

On the "Import Options" tab select "Client" or "Server" mode. Then set the TCP/IP parameters your equipment which has TCP/IP address (Cisco routers, etc.).

- On the "Export Options" tab set the connection to your database.
After that click on the "Binding" tab, add a table name, field names and configure their properties*.


- Press the "Done" button and press "Start" button then watch your TCP/IP data into your database.

*In most cases it will be enough to use automatic import by clicking the "Import" button
