ByteWedge Professional gives you the unique opportunity of remote data logging directly into your applications.
With the help of ByteWedge Professional you have the ability to manage the recording of data from your device, connected to a remote PC (which is useful when your application is located on another PC).
Combining ByteWedge Professional with ComPort/IP Server or ComPort/IP Client gives you the possibility to export data from a remote computer in two ways.
The first way
On the computer with the equipment connected to its serial port start ComPort/IP Server and configure the TCP/IP port from which the data will be sent.
On the remote computer start ByteWedge Professional and in the Wizard choose "TCP/IP" on the "Import Source" page.
Next click on the "Import Options" tab and select "Client" mode.
Then set the TCP/IP address and port of the computer where ComPort/IP Server is running and after that configure the export method.
The second way
On the computer with the equipment connected to its serial port start ComPort/IP Client and set the TCP/IP address and port of the remote computer where ByteWedge will be started.
On the remote computer run ByteWedge in server mode.
In the Wizard select the TCP/IP port to receive data from ComPort/IP Client and after that select an export method.
